Hello there, I am new to macs and have formely been a vista power-user. How do you start/restart/stop servicves on a mac? In specific, i am trying to control the coldfusion 8 developer server running locally on my mac. Many thanks, guys. Now use FileMerge.app to compare both directories. Again look for something suspicious. I’m not sure wether FileMerge.app takes into account extended attributes. One solution is to unpack the tars on non-Mac system so the extended attributes will be unpacked as a file with a prefix “.”.
How To Restart An App On Apple Tv 4
To restart a Mac computer, you have three choices:
Pressing the Control+Command+Eject/Power button is the most reliable way to restart a Mac because it doesn’t rely on the Mac OS X operating system.
Restarting a Mac computer isn’t the same as turning the computer on and off, which completely resets it. If you really want to make sure that your computer starts up correctly, turn it off, wait a few seconds, and then turn it on again. If you’re in a hurry, try restarting your Mac, and if that doesn’t fix the problem, you’ll have to turn it off and on again.
If your Mac freezes, restarting might not work. If your Mac is generally acting weird, restarting isn’t your only option. Macs are known not to need a lot of maintenance or troubleshooting, but if restarting (or rebooting) doesn’t work, consider some other basic troubleshooting options for your Mac.
How To Restart An App On Amazon Fire
Installing apps on your Mac is ( probably ) a daily occurrence. Once you install the app you start messing with the settings. And maybe, for some reason, the app will start misbehaving. Probably won’t even load.
In this case you have two options. Completely uninstall the app ( check out our guide on how to completely uninstall Mac apps ), or reset the app back to its default settings.
For the most part, Mac apps store their settings files in the Library folder of macOS, and it’s pretty easy to delete them manually.
But there’s an even easier way to reset a Mac app and that’s by using a free app that’s already installed on your Mac ( probably ): AppCleaner.
NOTE: to completely uninstall Mac apps don’t use just AppCleaner. See the tutorial linked above for more info…
